This album was basically an effort by English band Coldplay, to break away from their usual style and to try out for something a bit more creative and new, something that will help expand their horizon. Now compared to the rest of the bands albums most of the tracks in Viva La Vida talk about war and sometimes even death and God.

Now the firsts single released by the band in this album called “Violet Hill” also marks the first song which was anti war and was released by Coldplay. You can find very eminent guitar riffs in this song and a lot of work with the keyboards.

Now if you listen to it carefully you will find that the song is completely different from what the band originally started with.

Now this album was basically a creative breakthrough for the band and it shows the amount of experimentation that the band has tried out with the different instruments as well as vocals. You excluding the vocals part you can find a lot of experimentation when it comes to instruments in the track “Life in Technicolor”.
